• Net profit (per order) — revenue minus every cost tied to that order.
• Operating profit (per period) — total net profit minus fixed costs that aren't tied to any single order (rent, salaries, software).

Both matter: per-order profit tells you which products and campaigns pay off; operating profit tells you whether the business as a whole is making money.

Margins tie it together
