How does ProfitVault know my costs? +
You set a unit cost per product (once, or via CSV). ProfitVault stores dated cost batches and applies the correct one to each order using your chosen method — FIFO, LIFO or weighted average.
Does it connect to my ad accounts? +
In this version ad spend is entered manually or imported by CSV — no third-party account connection required. Automatic platform sync is on the roadmap.
What data does it read from Shopify? +
Only products and orders — the minimum needed to compute profit. Costs live in ProfitVault, never written back to your store.
Is it really free? +
Yes. The current release is free with no usage caps. Paid tiers may arrive later, but your data and core profit tracking stay yours.
